AERMOD and CALPUFF: Features, recommended Applications, and Comparisons with AUSPLUME and TAPM: A United States Perspective
In the last four years, the United States Environmental Protection Agency has recommended the use of advanced short-range and long-range dispersion models, AERMOD and CALPUFF, respectively, for routine air quality studies. This presentation discusses the features, evaluation history, and appropriate uses of these models, and how they can be used for applications in general. In addition, the features of other advanced modelling systems outside the USA (e.g., TAPM and AUSPLUME) are also discussed and compared with the USA models.
