  • Diffusive sampling has been used to study the spatial distribution of NO2, NOx, and O3 over the period from June 2005 to January 2007 at Termoli (Italy). Three different categories of sampling sites (roadside, residential and background) were studied. In total, 50 sites were monitored. The temporal and spatial distribution of the aforementioned pollutants was analysed in the study area. Chemical data provided by diffusive samplers have been analysed using geostatistical tools, in order to obtain the spatial distribution of the examined pollutants. Different interpolation criteria have been considered and maps have been created using deterministic (IDW) and probabilistic (Kriging) methods. The results were evaluated on the basis of the limit values found in the European Directives
