Mould Remediation, Regulations, Guidelines and Standards in Australia
While the mould remediation industry is in full swing in Australia, there is little in the way of Australian Standards to guide the industry. Most Remediators and restoration technicians use guidelines and standards from overseas, but these do not take into account of local conditions and building practices. An Australian Guideline for Mould remediation was written for the industry and has been in use for 2 years now. The guideline is currently under review by Standards Australia and there is an urgent need for industry representatives to review and improve this document.
